What conclusions have I reached after seeing all the evidence for and against?
Reading everything that has been published and based on my personal experience, my conclusion is that manipulating the CTR by itself is useless. It can be useful in niches of little competition, but in those niches it is not necessary to pay a monthly membership in a botnet to position, since it does it with some good articles and some link.
In niches with medium or high competition, the use of these tools alone is useless, since for a page to be up in the search engine, Google takes into account a huge number of variables, many of which are not even we know
In this way, these tools can help, but always as a complement to our strategy, which means that we have to do a good SEO on Page, a good SEO offPage, have quality articles, a web that loads fast, a design attractive, etc.
Would I try one of these tools?
From what I said maybe you think that I would never try one of these tools, but the truth is that I would, but only with projects that meet a series of conditions.
In my opinion, this tool is aimed at technical profiles, such as an SEO consultant , people who have taken into account everything I have said before about the SEO strategy and have pages with high competition, with very lucrative keys in which Going up one or two positions means a lot of money.
In this case and whenever we have keys stuck in the search engine, yes we can try this type of services at least for a couple of months to get reliable results and see if the improvement of the CTR is what our page needs to climb some positions that can make us earn a lot of money.
Obviously, I would not use it for projects that have just started, projects that will not give me much money even once they are well ranked or projects that are going very well without having to manipulate the metrics.
Is it dangerous to manipulate the CTR?
The truth is that manipulating the CTR can be dangerous. Although it is done well, with real users from different IPs and different countries, the truth is that this technique is very close to Black Hat, not to say it is a Black Hat SEO technique even if we want to convince otherwise.
It is true that some services sold here in Spain do very well in the face of Google, but we know that the search engine has a huge amount of data and always ends up knowing everything, sooner or later.
In this way you have to know that although the risk is low, manipulate the metrics to deceive Google is always at risk, so although today this is not usually penalized, it can be penalized within one or two months in one of the famous changes of algorithm of Google, that in the last months is persecuting all the techniques of Black Hat, as we have seen in the article of the PBN.
As a conclusion or as a summary, to say that manipulating the CTR is useless by itself and that it can be useful to observe that you used the word “may” in certain projects as a SEO strategy, which must be combined with SEO that we all know.
Also keep in mind that it can be a risky strategy, so you have to decide to what extent it is worth risking certain projects to upload a position in the search engine.
